Daniel Turns One – Cake Smash – Grand Rapids Photographer

One of the things that I love the very most about being a child photographer is that I get to watch kiddos grow up… their little expressions, twinkling eyes and smiles change ever so slightly with time and I get to capture all of it!  Wayne + Michelle are close friends of mine and amazing clients.  They worked with me even before Daniel was born – in fact Michelle was one of my first maternity clients.  I can hardly believe that this cutie is one year old already!   Happy Birthday little man!

Clifford Family – Grand Rapids Photographer

Last February I participated in the Stepping Stones Montessori School Auction for the Love of Learning.  This Auction is the primary fundraiser for Stepping Stones and helps support their Mission of “Cultivating a Life-Long Love of Learning”. The Clifford family bid on my package which included some serious outdoor fun in Grand Rapids.

Young brothers, Thomas the Train and railroad tracks… Let the joy-ride begin!

Lehman Family l Holland, MI Photographer

I have had the pleasure of taking photos of this adorable family for over a year now!  The kiddos are so much fun to chase around and play with!  They really get into it and before I even have to get out my goody bag, they are already shouting at me, “Ms. Sheena, take a picture of me here… how about this funny face”… LOVE!

Enjoy reliving our playful night at the beach…

Becca Lehman - You’re the best! Thank you so much for capturing the kids personalities in photos. I look at these almost every day and each time I see something “new”, a look, expression, glance. Its amazing how you work with them, your tireless energy and patience is much appreciated! I read a sign at Artprize the other day and I think its sums it up…”I didn’t realize we were making memories, I thought we were just having fun.” Thank you for capturing our memories, we really were “just having fun”.

Ooh La La Boudoir – Meet Bombshell “J”

Boudoir photography is something I am really passionate about because its all about the soul of a woman and her self being and inner beauty.  Its a personal choice and one that I feel every woman should experience if only once in their life!    Beautiful Bombshell “J” experienced some of the same inner dialogue that you’re probably facing.  She was amazing to work with and shares her experience below…

“I waited an entire year to do a boudoir session. I thought about it constantly, and would always say ‘I will do it when I lose 10 pounds so the pictures will be worth it!’  I had originally wanted to give it to my husband as a wedding gift since I was in great shape for the wedding. I held back because of my lack of confidence. Finally, I had decided that I was done waiting and after gaining 10 pounds during the first year of marriage I figured it would be now or never and it would be a great one year anniversary gift. I was so nervous at first and was afraid she would not be able to get a shot that didn’t expose all my insecurities…. You’d never guess from my pictures that I lacked confidence. Not only did Sheena make me feel beautiful during the session, but I had more fun doing it than I could have ever imagined. Because of her personality and genuineness I was able to channel a sexy, fun, extroverted part of myself like never before! We even left the room and took shots in the hallway and elevator of the hotel, CRAZY! You would never really know how quiet and introverted I am from my pictures. I hope that any woman who is even considering boudoir will do it, if not for a significant other, for themselves because it was such an uplifting and empowering experience! Sheena is the best!”

Future Baby Gabriau – Grand Rapids Maternity Photographer

I met Rachel and Steve at the Breithart wedding this past July!  Rachel looked so adorable as she sported her baby bump in her bridesmaid dress!  When she approached me about maternity pictures I was ecstatic… and when she asked if she could include Peighton (their first born… puppy) I was jumping up and down with excitement – okay, not literally but I was excited to include the future big sissy in on the occasion!

Thank you to Rachel, Steve and Peighton for sharing this special time with me.  I look forward to meeting future baby “M”, who is expected to arrive on October 8.

Baby Mason – Grand Rapids Newborn Photographer » - […] Having the opportunity to cuddle with newborns is one of the many reasons that I love photography!  I met this family while shooting the Breithart Wedding.  Both Steve and Rachel were in the wedding party!  I not only had the opportunity to document sweet baby Mason but I was also able to help share the news during their Maternity Session!
